1. Agreement to Terms

By installing, accessing, or using CheckinPigeon ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not use our Service.

The Service is operated by CheckinPigeon ("we," "us," or "our"), a solo developer based in Bangladesh.

2. Description of Service

CheckinPigeon is a Slack application that provides async standup management and poll functionality for teams. We offer:

Free Tier

  • Up to 10 unique participants per month (standups + polls)
  • Unlimited standups & polls
  • All core features included

Pro Tier ($19/month USD, billed monthly — price may vary)

  • Unlimited active members
  • Unlimited standups & polls
  • Priority support
  • Advanced customization

Optional AI Features: Our Service includes optional AI-powered features (such as blocker detection) that process standup responses using third-party AI providers. Use of these features is subject to the additional terms and disclosures in our Privacy Policy. By enabling AI features, you acknowledge that standup responses will be sent to third-party AI service providers for processing.

Customer Support: We use Crisp live chat on our website to provide real-time customer support. By using the chat widget, you consent to Crisp's collection of your browsing activity and chat messages as described in our Privacy Policy.

3. Account Registration and Slack Integration

  • You must have a valid Slack workspace to use our Service
  • You authorize us to access your Slack workspace data as specified in our Privacy Policy
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Slack workspace
  • You must provide accurate information during registration

4. Payment Terms

Subscription Billing

  • Pro tier is billed monthly at $19/month USD
  • Pricing is subject to change with 30 days notice to existing subscribers
  • Current pricing is always displayed on our billing page before purchase
  • Payment is charged in advance at the start of each billing period
  • We use a third-party payment processor (Creem) to process payments

Free Tier

  • No payment required
  • We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the free tier at any time

Refund Policy (14-Day Money-Back Guarantee)

  • Available for first-time Pro subscribers only
  • You may request a refund within 14 days of your initial purchase
  • This money-back guarantee does not apply to subscription renewals
  • After 14 days from the purchase date, all charges are final and non-refundable (except as required by applicable law)

Email us at [email protected] with your workspace details. Refunds are processed manually via our payment provider (Creem).

Service Accuracy

We strive to keep the Service and related information accurate, but we do not guarantee that all information is error-free or up to date. We may update the Service at any time.

5. Cancellation and Termination

Your Rights

  • You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • You retain full access to Pro features until the billing period ends
  • You can downgrade to the Free tier (subject to Free tier limits)

Our Rights

  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
  • We may terminate the Service with 30 days notice
  • We may modify pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers

6. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Send spam or unsolicited messages
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without permission

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services (including Slack and our service providers). We do not control and are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services.

7. Intellectual Property

  • The Service, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by us
  • Your use of the Service does not grant you ownership rights
  • You retain ownership of all data you submit through the Service
  • You grant us a limited license to process your data to provide the Service

8. User Data and Content

  • You are responsible for all data you submit through the Service
  • You grant us permission to store and process your data as described in our Privacy Policy
  • We do not claim ownership of your data
  • You can export or delete your data at any time

When you upload files in Slack as part of a standup response, we may download and store those files in our own secure cloud storage so they can be displayed reliably in your dashboard and reports. Stored standup attachments are access-controlled and are retained while the related standup exists, then deleted when the standup is deleted. If you uninstall the Slack app or request workspace data deletion, we will delete workspace data (including cached attachments) within 14 days as required by Slack's policies.

  • If the Slack app is uninstalled from your workspace, we will stop the Service for that workspace (for example, standups will be stopped) and we may cancel any active paid subscription at the end of the current billing period
  • Uninstalling the Slack app does not automatically delete your workspace data; deletion requires an explicit request as described in our Privacy Policy

9. Service Availability and Modifications

  • We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service
  • We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time
  • We may perform maintenance that temporarily interrupts service
  • We will notify users of significant changes when possible

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND
  • WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES
  • OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS
  • WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR SLACK PLATFORM OUTAGES OR ISSUES

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of another party

12. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to our collection and use of data as described in the Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to Terms

  • We may modify these Terms at any time
  • We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification
  • Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of new Terms
  • If you disagree with changes, you may cancel your subscription

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh.

However, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer in your country of residence (including EU consumer protection laws and GDPR rights).

Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Bangladesh, except where your local laws require disputes to be heard in your country.

You agree to resolve disputes individually, not as part of a class action.
